About the role:
The Uber Freight business is growing, and is expanding internationally. It’s our vision at Uber Freight to transform the industry by creating an efficient, safe, and a high-quality experience for commercial shippers and carriers by matching freight loads through technology. The freight industry in the European Union has a unique set of strategic and operational challenges that require focus to ensure efficient and optimized operations both internally and for our customers..

Our Operations teams are the heart and soul of Uber Freight. The Regional Account Operations Manager (Analytics) - Europe role has a direct impact on the growth of our business and is responsible for developing initiatives that optimise the shipper experience on Uber Freight’s platform. This data-driven role calls for a rare combination of analytical thinking, operational prowess, and interpersonal ability to manage relationships with a very valuable part of our business; our shippers.

What you'll do:

  • Strategy. Support the development of a roadmap to set internal standards, goals and criteria for strategic programs
  • Develop & Optimize Processes. Take big picture ideas and projects and break them into actionable steps with aggressive timelines for completion.  
  • Product Improvement. Articulate the future vision of customer operations with our product team and help sell that vision to our customers. Pro-actively search for bugs and help pilot new features which could improve a seamless carrier and shipper experience.
  • Efficiency. Drive the efficiency of Account Operations across central and local teams. Identify, analyze, and manage the implementation of efficiency and quality measures, eg CSAT
  • Stakeholder Management. Manage business stakeholders to solve operational problems and build solutions. Work closely with the US and European Account Ops teams, and the broader Uber Freight business to continually identify and drive new solutions that impact customer operations at large
  • Standardize. Drive consistency through scalable customer documentation, execution, and escalations


What you'll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Masters preferred
  • 3+ years of Strategy Consulting, Accounting, Engineering, Banking, or Start-up background with previous experience using data to drive business decisions. Industry knowledge is a plus
  • Excellent Excel skills and SQL experience required
  • R & Python preferred but not required (with a willingness to learn)
  • Demonstrated ability to solve complex problems at scale under pressure
  • Demonstrated ability to influence the performance of client success or account management
  • Ability to collaborate and work with a highly diverse set of internal and external partners - requires strong communication and organization skills
  • Ability to balance attention to detail with swift execution

The Uber Freight Account Operations team serves as a partner to our external clients and internal sales team, anticipating challenges and presenting solutions to support Uber Freight's business objectives. They help build and ensure sustainable growth for the European business.
