What You’ll Do
Fundamentally, you’ll be tasked with building, developing, inspiring and leading an amazing team to achieve ambitious hiring targets and talent goals. Now a bit more detail...
  • With the entrance of new lines of business in EMEA, we are seeing a significant increase and greater complexity in the salesforce required to support this exponential growth. With a sightline into our Uber growth strategies, for sure this will only increase over the next few years.
  • To best support our EMEA business, we see the need to create a dedicated recruiting team focused on high performance sales hiring initially across Uber for Business, UberEats Sales and Uber Freight Sales. You will not find a more exciting and high impact role to support the launch and growth of key businesses in our EMEA region!

You’ll also:

  • Be embraced as a talent thought partner and collaborate with EMEA and Global Sales leadership to catalyze, co-create and drive hiring plans, talent strategies, priorities, and process improvements.
  • Influence hiring manager stakeholders and expectations for a shared understanding of what great looks like in hiring at Uber
  • Influence, lead and inspire across a matrixed organization. Hiring involves resources across many functional teams.
  • Wear many different leadership hats from building and scaling a sales recruiting capability from the ground up, to acting as a strategic talent advisor on organizational design, location strategy aligned to the talent market and role definition
  • Challenge and develop your team to become the best they can be.
  • Ground analysis in data to help build solutions, measure quality, and influence.
  • Work closely with other regional recruiting leads to improve upon existing programs and develop innovative strategy around finding top talent.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience within Recruitment, Talent or other similar related field. 
  • You've seen scale on a mega-regional basis; having operated and successfully navigated in a high-growth, complex environment before, you fundamentally understand the levers that allow for recruiting to scale: team, process, brand, leadership, communication, tools, etc.
  • Influencing and finding shared success with stakeholders
  • You like to inspire and be inspired. People enjoy following you. You have success in leading, developing and managing a team aligned to ambitious targets
  • You care about the people you lead and serve, and about team members' success and development.
  • Excited by challenge and undaunted by change, you're a thoughtful doer, who functions well in a direct, high-intensity environment.
  • You use data to manage your teams, to communicate and partner with the businesses you support, and to make operational decisions.
  • Creative and an agile learner, you have the ability and persistence to adapt, learn, and creatively solve problems, big and small. Curious by nature, you're constantly looking for ways to improve upon things - both strategically as well as and practical quick wins.
