As we roll into the holiday season, we often think of the word generosity when honouring friends and family. Generosity can mean a smile, helping an ageing parent run an errand but it also means giving.

Next week (December 7th and 8th), we’re kicking off two days of just GIVING via the Uber app and we’re calling it UberGIVING. All users will have the opportunity to donate clothes and toys – free of charge – and Uber will deliver them straight to Saint Vincent de Paul and Auxilia with the help of our partner, Advanced Car Rental.

GET THE DETAILS:

  • Download or open the Uber app on Monday and Tuesday (Dec 7 – 8)
  • Swipe the slider to “GIVING” between 2pm – 8pm
  • Request a vehicle – completely free of charge – to pick up your donations
  • If connected, a vehicle will arrive within minutes (Demand will be high, keep trying)
  • Donations will be delivered to Saint Vincent de Paul and Auxilia
  • Please split your donations in different bags having toys in one and clothes in another
    • We’re accepting all unwanted clothes, shoes and toys but please make sure that everything you want collected is placed in closed bags to make it easier on the teams collecting
