At Uber, we’re committed to helping you move conveniently and affordably through Nairobi, while creating opportunities for driver-partners to run their businesses.
We’ve sat with driver-partners to get their feedback, and together, we’re working on both short term and long term solutions to address any concerns that driver-partners raise.
We are excited to announce that our prices will remain unchanged; you can still enjoy an uberCHAPCHAP ride for as low as Ksh 100 and an uberX ride for as low as Ksh 150.
While our fares have not changed, we have put in place efforts to ensure that we improve our driver-partners’ earnings on each trip effective immediately. We have put in place 10% additional incentives on fares to be paid to our driver-partners for every trip taken on uberX and UberSELECT – 24 hours a day, everyday. This is at no extra cost to you and your trip fare will remain the same. This means that riders continue paying the same fare while drivers earn an extra 10% on each trip.
We are also working on reducing the operating costs of driver-partners and have negotiated multiple deals with various partners e.g discounted vehicle maintenance, motor vehicle insurance, vehicle financing and many more.
Here is to moving Nairobi together.
