About the Role
This person will have a large span of control and will lead 2 distinct areas:
1) Marketing Finance for Uber EATs - will be the main business partner for the EATS marketing org
2) Consumer Analytics for all LOBS - will build our consumer analytics capabilities including MAPCE, Churn, Engagement, etc
What you will do
Build and lead a team of managers, associates and analysts in strategic finance.
Be a thought partner to marketing leadership on what marketing investments we should make and what return we should expect on them
Define framework to measure the return on our offline marketing investments
Ensure we are consistently and effectively measuring our online spend efficiency at the channel level (display, programmatic, social, etc).
Define the evolution of our customer value/lifetime value framework
Build a framework for our long term marketing investments - how should we think about allocating marketing & incentives dollars across our markets and LOBs?
Build a framework for cross lever investments allocations (acquisition vs engagement vs resurrection) - for a particular period, should we shift dollars from acquisition to incentives or vice versa?
Design our next generation of business metrics reporting for ELT.
Determine our next generation of forecasting models for trips, gross bookings and key business metrics
Partner with our VP of Customer Engagement and Platform Strategy to define our customer segments and track conversion & engagement metrics across the different segments and across lines of business (rider to eater, eater to biker, etc).
Effectively partner with Marketing leadership, Marketing Data Science, Finance Data Science, Regional Finance, Product Finance, Corporate Finance and Business/Product Leaders to achieve all of the above.
What you need
A minimum of 5 years of finance, performance marketing, operations or strategy consulting experience
Knowledge of the P&L and top/bottom line drivers
Deep analytical background (experience with modeling and analytics)
Experience in data visualization and business intelligence
Structured thinking, with experience framing and solving problems
Experience building relationships across all levels of an organization and presenting to anyone from executive leadership to project teams
Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing projects
About the Team
The Marketing Finance team within Strategic Finance is the main finance partner for Uber’s Marketing Organization for all regions and all lines of business. We partner with Marketing leadership to plan & track all our marketing investments and to ensure we get the highest return on those investments.
The Senior Finance Manager for Performance Marketing and Consumer Analytics will be the main finance partner to Michael Strickman, Uber’s VP of Performance Marketing, CRM & Analytics.
