About the Role
Expanding the opportunity for drivers to partner with Uber is at the core of what we do - it's igniting opportunity and ensuring equal access to the Uber platform. At Uber, not only are we fundamentally changing the need for car ownership for riders, but we're disrupting car ownership for drivers, too. We believe that car ownership should not get in the way of becoming an Uber driver partner, and facilitating the right vehicle option for drivers is critical to our growth efforts across the globe. Beyond all this, the global automotive industry is changing - fast - and Uber is poised to influence and benefit from emerging trends.
That's why we're excited to introduce a new global team that will oversee our Vehicles business and strategy. The primary focus for this team in 2019 will be developing and executing a clear and cohesive strategy to unlock a step change in vehicles growth and decrease the barriers for potential new drivers. The strategy will be catered to each major region across the globe as we adapt to the various models for personal vehicle ownership. Uber will partner with the world's largest vehicle manufacturers and fleet owners as they look to play a role in the growth of ridesharing as a vital part of their business.
We are looking for an exceptional and seasoned program manager to help us with strategy & planning, program management, global execution and other key operational roles.
