Today, we are thrilled to announce the debut of Uber and Namma Metro partnership that will make getting around Bengaluru even more easier. From reduced travel time to reliable first/last-mile connectivity, this partnership will also alleviate the demand for parking thereby reducing congestion in the city.
We are launching Uber Kiosks at 12 metro stations across the city to help riders book their ride through these exclusive booking counters at the metro stations listed below. Uber representatives will also be available at these counters to ensure metro commuters get a reliable and affordable ride to their next destination, without having to worry about access to a smartphone or internet connectivity.
- Kempegowda Majestic Station
- Mysore Road
- M.G. Road
- Mantri Mall station
- Orion Mall (Sandal Soap Factory)
- Sir. M. Visvesvaraya Central College
We will cater to over 66% of the total metro ridership through this first-of-its-kind partnership for Uber in Asia. These solutions marry the strengths of public transit — the transportation backbone of our cities — with the convenience and reliability of Uber, getting riders to and from transit stops to reach their ultimate destination.
At Uber, we have always believed that ridesharing services can complement public transit — making travel seamless and a car-free lifestyle an even easier choice to make. We are excited to work together to extend public transit’s reach and help reduce congestion over time.
