Terms and Conditions for Participation in the Giveaway Contest for 1,520 Double Tickets to Museums, Theatres, and Exhibitions, as part of “Uber Art Rides Week”
November 19 / GreeceThe company under the name “UBER HELLAS M.E.P.E.”, having its registered seat in Psichiko, Attica, at 340 Olimpionikon and Kifisias Avenue (hereinafter referred to as the “Organizer”), is organizing a promotional campaign (hereinafter the “Contest”), as part of “Uber Art Rides Week”, a special initiative dedicated in celebrating art and its mental health benefits, taking place from December 4th to December 10th, 2025.
The advertising company responsible for conducting the Contest is “Reach Advertising IKE”, having its registered seat in Koniari 62, 11521 (hereinafter the “Advertising Company”).
The Contest will be held online, specifically through a Google Form link (hereinafter the “Participation Form”).
Please read these terms carefully, as participation in the Contest means unconditional acceptance of these terms by the participants.The purpose of these terms (hereinafter the “Terms and Conditions”) is to define the conditions for participating in the Contest and the procedure for selecting the winners.
- Eligibility to Participate
1.1. Participation in the Contest is open to individuals who are permanent and legal residents of Greece, have reached the age of 18, and have full legal capacity (hereinafter referred to as the “Participant/s”).
1.2. The following are excluded from participation in the Contest: persons with limited or no legal capacity, minors, employees of the Organizer and the Advertising Company, as well as their first and second-degree relatives, spouses, or persons who have entered into a cohabitation agreement with the aforementioned employees or their first and second-degree relatives. Any participation by the aforementioned persons in the Contest in violation of these Terms and Conditions shall be deemed automatically void and treated as if it never occurred.
- Contest Duration
The Contest will run from December 4th, 2025 until December 10th, 2025 at 23:59. After the Contest ends, no entries will be accepted; any such entries will be considered invalid and will have no effect or binding consequences on the Organizer or any third party. The Organizer reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to postpone or reschedule the date and/or time of the Contest, or to cancel the Contest entirely.
- How to Participate in the Contest
3.1. Each Participant, in order to enter the Contest, during its duration, must complete three trips via Uber app during the Uber Art Rides Week (December 4th – 10th, 2025). Following completion of their third trip, Participants will receive a notification via email informing them that they are potential winners of one double ticket. The email will include a link directing to the Participation Form, through which participants will provide their personal details (first name, last name, email linked to their Uber account, and mobile number), confirm that they have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions, consent to sharing their data with third parties involved in the activation, as well as prioritize up to five preferred events they wish to attend, ranked by preference. Participants who have completed the required three (3) rides and have received the corresponding email notification are required to fill in the participation form within forty eight (48) hours from the date of receipt of the email. After the expiration of this period, no submissions will be accepted, and the Participant will forfeit the right to participate in the Contest.
3.2. Completing the Participation Form by the Participant, following the abovementioned process, constitutes a participation declaration and activates their entry into the Contest, without requiring any further action.
3.3. By participating in the Contest, Participants unconditionally accept the Terms and Conditions of the Contest. Any person may at any time withdraw their participation from the Contest by notifying the Organizer in the following email: zfilli@ext.uber.com.
3.4. Only valid entries are eligible to participate in the Contest. A valid entry is defined as any participation that cumulatively meets the following criteria: (a) it complies with these Terms and Conditions, (b) it does not constitute, at the Organizer’s discretion, the result of unlawful technical manipulation of the Organizer’s systems, or in general fraud or unfair interference by the Participant or a third party, (c) it was submitted and received during the Contest period, (d) it does not in any way contravene the law and/or public morals and does not infringe upon the rights of third parties.
3.5. Each completion of the Participation Form by a Participant, as described above, constitutes one entry in the Contest. All valid entries are immediately recorded in a list, automatically and without further action assigned a unique sequential number. The said list, maintained by the Organizer or by a third party acting on behalf of and under the instructions of the Organizer, shall constitute full proof with regard to the submissions of the Participation Forms. Participation will be granted on a priority basis according to the chronological order of valid submissions (“first come, first serve”). The first 1,520 Participants who fulfill the participation requirements outlined in these Terms and Conditions will win and receive vouchers.
3.6. The Organizer reserves the right, at its absolute discretion, to remove any entry whose content is offensive or in any way contrary to the law or public morals, to reject entries that violate these terms, and to cancel entries at any later stage that do not comply with these terms. In the latter case, the Organizer may, without prejudice to any other claims, request the return of any prize or benefit already received by the Participant through their participation in the Contest. Exclusion shall take place for any of the aforementioned reasons without the need for formalities, deadlines, prior notification, or justification of the exclusion/cancellation. Furthermore, any entries that, in the absolute discretion of the Organizer and/or the Advertising Company, violate intellectual property rights or other third-party rights (including personal data) will be immediately deleted, and such participation shall be excluded from the Contest at any stage thereof, even at the prize-awarding stage.
- Method of Selecting the Contest Winners
4.1. The winners will be determined on a priority basis according to the chronological order of valid submissions (“first come, first serve”), i.e. the first one thousand five hundred twenty (1,520) Participants who validly complete the Participation Form in accordance with these Terms and Conditions will be deemed winners and will receive vouchers.
4.2. The verification of the valid order of Participation and the identification of the first one thousand five hundred twenty (1,520) Participants will be carried out electronically by the Organizer/Advertising Company, through a secure system ensuring the integrity and transparency of the process.
4.3. The Organizer reserves the right to reject any winner if it deems that the information provided is inaccurate or incomplete. Each participant bears sole responsibility for the correct and accurate completion of their details in the Participation Form.
- Prize
5.1. The prize awarded in the Contest consists of one thousand five hundred twerny 1,520 double (valid for two persons) vouchers for various events, including museums visits, theatre performances, and exhibitions. It is noted that the vouchers provided are not direct tickets. Each winner must convert their voucher into an actual ticket following the instructions from the respective venue. Winners are responsible for completing this conversion within five (5) days of receiving their voucher.
5.2. The potential winners will be notified by email within four (4) working days upon completing their third Uber ride during the Uber Art Rides Week and filling in the participation form. In case of unforeseen circumstances, the Organizer reserves the right to substitute the prize.
5.3. In the event that it is not possible to contact a winner of the Contest within the aforementioned period, or in the event that a winner remains inactive, delays, and/or fails to send and confirm acceptance of the prize, does not appear or does not timely communicate with the Organizer within the time period specified by the Organizer, or declares inability or refusal to receive the Prize, or does not wish to accept the prize, or if at any time it is determined that the participation is invalid or voidable, any of the above shall result in the definitive loss of the right to claim the prize. In such cases, the Organizer reserves the right to designate as winner an alternate winner, who shall be notified within a reasonable time in accordance with the procedure described above. The order of alternate winners will be determined once all 1,520 potential winners have been contacted.
5.4. Should the prize remain unclaimed after the completion of the above procedure and the expiry of the deadlines set forth above, the prize shall remain at the disposal of the Organizer, who may dispose of them at its sole discretion.
5.5. The prize awarded in the Contest is specific, personal, non-transferable, and may not be exchanged, nor may they be substituted with other prizes or redeemed in cash at any value. In particular, the prize of this Contest may not be transferred by the winners to any third party, including relatives by blood or marriage in direct or collateral line, or to any friends or acquaintances, with the exception of the person accompanying the winner to the event.
5.7. The Organizer’s liability is strictly limited to the prize. No changes or replacements of the prize will be made. After the expiration of the Contest and the delivery of the prizes, the Organizer bears no liability whatsoever arising from or in connection with the present Contest for any reason. Attendance to each event is subject to the terms and conditions of that event. The organizer accepts no liability for changes, cancellations, or incidents occurring at each event.
5.8. If a winner’s preferred event is sold out before their vouchers are sent out, the Advertising Company will contact them by email to explore alternative options, where available. However, under no circumstances shall the Organizer or the Advertising Company be held liable if a winner is unable to convert their voucher into an actual ticket due to the event or performance being sold out – especially if the winner received their voucher but failed to complete the conversion within the required timeframe.
- Technical Means
6.1. Participation in the present Contest requires that interested parties have access to the Internet through their own technical means. The Organizer assumes no obligation with regard to securing or assisting access to Internet sites, or providing facilities to any interested person to participate in the Contest. The receipt of the email that provides access to the Participation Form is permitted solely under the operating terms of the relevant server and the technical and other conditions and specifications of the Contest. Furthermore, the Organizer bears no responsibility for any burden or cost incurred by the Participants arising from the above causes.
6.2. Moreover, the Organizer shall not be held liable for any technical difficulties that may occur due to Internet-related issues (including but not limited to force majeure, technical problems, lack of network coverage, network congestion, interruption of network connection, failure to send or receive emails due to lack of available storage space or other reasons, incorrect method of participation), nor for any malfunction that may result in the temporary or permanent suspension of the Contest or in the invalidation of certain participations due to failure of their post to be registered, or for any other reason.
6.3. The Organizer accepts no responsibility for any cancellation or interruption of the Contest due to spam or due to changes in the operating terms or for any other non-related with the Organizer reason. Furthermore, the Organizer does not guarantee that the Participation Form or the servers through which it is made available to visitors will be provided free of viruses or other harmful components, or that the websites, services, options, or their results are accurate, complete, and available at all times.
6.4. Each Participant bears sole responsibility for ensuring, through the use of antivirus software, that their personal computer and files are protected from viruses or malicious programs/applications, as well as for addressing any detected viruses. In any case, the Organizer shall not be liable for any costs related to the maintenance, repair, or restoration of the Participant’s computer or system, nor for any damage that may occur following her visit to the Organizer’s Website.
- Publicity
The Terms and Conditions of the Contest are posted on the Organizer’s website. The complete procedure of the Contest is described exclusively in the Terms and Conditions. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the Terms and Conditions at any time, as well as to postpone or cancel the Contest, with a relevant announcement via newsletter and by any other appropriate means, at its sole discretion.
- Personal data
8.1. The conduct of the Contest requires and makes necessary the collection of personal data of the Participants, as described below, which is processed by the Organizer, as Data Controller, in accordance with Regulation 2016/EU/679 (GDPR), exclusively for the purposes of the present Contest, specifically for participation, announcement/publication of results, awarding of prizes, and promotion of the Contest. To fulfill these purposes, the Organizer processes the participants’ personal data for the purpose of participation in the Contest (processing upon request of the data subject), the fulfillment of its obligations under applicable law, and the satisfaction of its legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(b), (c), and (f) GDPR).
8.2. Specifically, the personal data collected and processed are: First name, last name, email linked to their Uber account, and mobile number.
If participants do not wish for their personal data to be processed as described above, they are kindly requested not to participate in the Contest. For the rights of the data subjects and the manner of exercising them, see paragraph 8.5 below.
8.3. The aforementioned data will be retained by the Organizer for the period strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes stated above, meaning all data retained will be deleted once the Contest has ended and all prizes have been duly delivered, always in accordance with applicable law, including tax legislation.
8.4. Participants’ personal data will not be used for other purposes nor transferred to third parties, except for those processing the data on behalf of and under the instruction of the Organizer, who provide the necessary services for the selection of Contest winners and the awarding of the prize, such as the Advertising Company.
8.5. If a participant wishes their personal data not to be processed, they may withdraw their participation at any time, free of charge, by contacting the Organizer via email at zfilli@ext.uber.com. Each data subject may exercise the rights provided under Articles 12 to 22 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679, including the right to be informed, access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object, and data portability, by contacting the Organizer at the above email address. Additionally, the data subject retains the right to contact the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (DPA) and may submit complaints electronically via the DPA’s online portal using the relevant form. If, for any justified reason, connection to the portal is not possible, complaints may alternatively be submitted electronically via email to complaints@dpa.gr, by postal mail to: Hellenic Data Protection Authority, 1-3 Kifisias Ave., 115 23 Athens, Greece, or in person at the Authority’s offices (1st floor), public hours at the protocol office: 09:00 – 13:00. These alternative methods may be used exceptionally, as a supplementary means of submitting a complaint to the Authority.
8.6. For more information regarding the above, Participants may contact the Data Protection Officer (DPO) at dpo@iaso.gr.
- Miscellaneous
9.1. Participants provide their personal information to the Organizer for the purposes of the Contest, which will be used exclusively for the purposes of the Contest and under the terms set out in Article 8 above.
9.2. The Organizer reserves the right, at its discretion, to modify, revoke, extend, or shorten the duration of the present Contest, as well as to change the present terms and dates and/or to cancel the Contest and consequently the awarding of the prize, with a relevant announcement shared via newsletter, with the modification taking effect on the date of the announcement. The Terms and Conditions shall constitute an integral part of any modifications, which shall take effect upon posting and publication on the Organizer’s website. Participants bear sole responsibility for staying informed of such changes.
9.3. In any of the above cases, the Organizer shall bear no liability towards the Participants. In the event of revocation, cancellation, interruption, extension, rescheduling, or similar actions regarding the Contest, Participants acquire no rights against the Organizer and are neither entitled nor authorized to demand the continuation or completion of the Contest or any compensation or award.
9.4. The Organizer’s liability is strictly limited to the awarding of prizes following the successful conduct of the Contest at its sole discretion. The Advertising Company and/or any partner involved in the implementation of the Contest shall not act as an Uber customer support channel and shall bear no responsibility or liability towards Participants, other than ensuring the delivery of the vouchers to the eligible entrants.
9.5. These Terms are governed by Greek law. Any dispute related to the Contest that may arise in the future falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Athens.
9.6. If any provision of these Terms is deemed illegal, invalid, or unenforceable, the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions shall not be affected. Any provision found to be contrary to the law shall automatically cease to apply, without affecting the validity of the remaining Terms.
9.7. The failure of the Organizer to exercise any of its rights shall not be considered a waiver of such rights.
