Introducing Emergency Assistance in Ghana

We hope every trip goes smoothly, but we also know things don’t always go as planned. Because of this, we’ve launched in-app assistance in your city! 

Should you encounter a situation that makes you feel uncomfortable while on a trip, you can use the in-app emergency button to connect directly with private emergency services and security response when needed – through a third-party private security supplier. The app displays your location and trip details, so you can quickly share them with emergency services.

How to use the emergency button from the Uber app:

Step 1: Tap on the shield icon at the bottom left of your screen to access the Emergency Toolkit

Step 2: Tap Emergency Assistance

Step 3: Swipe the red button to call for emergency assistance
