UberENGAGE is a new way for drivers to share their feedback with us. Each city Uber is in will have an Advisory Group of 5 experienced local partners. They will listen to drivers needs and ensure their voice is heard across the wider business.
How it works
Advisory Groups will have office hours
Advisory Group members will hold regular office hours at their local Greenlight Hubs. This gives partners a chance to share their feedback on the app, or tell their Advisers what they think could make the Uber experience better. Partners do not need to give their name when submitting feedback - the process can be anonymous, to ensure feedback is honest.
Advisory Groups meet with Uber staff
Once a month, Uber staff meet with each local Advisory Group. During these sessions, driver feedback and ideas are shared and discussed. This feedback is taken to the central office and given to the right teams. We always aim to work on each piece of feedback we get.
We share the changes
Partners who provide feedback to Uber through their Advisory Groups should expect to hear back from the team about their feedback and about any resulting changes. We want to champion success cases, to inspire even further collaboration and help drive change.
How it started and what it accomplishes
What is UberENGAGE?
As UberENGAGE launches in each city, eligible partners will be invited to apply to their local Advisory Groups. Successful applicants will be chosen by an independent review board, to ensure transparency and fairness. Once in place, Advisory Boards will be available for all partners to speak to during office hours at your local Greenlight Hub.
You can read the UberENGAGE partner charter here, which outlines the key qualities partner drivers want to see in an UberENGAGE Adviser.
What does UberENGAGE achieve?
Over the last few months, we’ve been working hard to make the Uber experience better. We want to continue to do this in the future by keeping partners at the heart of the conversation.
Amplifies the driver voice
Drivers have a unique understanding of their cities. UberENGAGE creates ways for drivers to play bigger roles in their communities and to carry the local driver voice farther.
We’ve learned in the past that working together creates great results. That’s why we want to take our partnership with our drivers to the next level, to continuously improve the driver experience on our app.
The origin of UberENGAGE
UberENGAGE has been created and shaped by partners from the very start.
In September 2017, we began a series of workshops across the UK and Ireland with partner-drivers. These workshops aimed to help us understand what we could do to make the Uber experience better for drivers.
By the end of these workshops, one idea really stood out for everyone: a reliable, fair system for partners to give feedback to Uber staff.
Partners then came up with a way to get other drivers involved. This developed into the UberENGAGE Advisory Groups. These are groups of partners in every Uber active city who will give feedback to Uber HQ and champion Uber in their communities.
To ensure fairness in the selection of these Advisory Groups, partners asked for an independent review board, which you can read more about below.
