About the Role
We are seeking a talented Security Engineering Manager to join our team in Seattle. This innovator will guide our engineers in Seattle who are working on PKI and core infrastructure identity to build, configure, and innovate the best solutions for Uber’s internal identity needs.
What You’ll Do
Drive a talented team to build, maintain, manage and monitor Uber’s PKI and core identity services.
Develop a unified roadmap, set team vision, and measure the most important technical and business indicators.
Help talented engineers develop toward their goals and sculpt a team culture of feedback and transparency.

What You’ll Need
Set roadmaps and hit targets in a high pace environment
Ensure security aligns to business needs without impeding development
Effectively drive a team to develop innovative solutions
Communicate effectively to achieve alignment both within and without the immediate team
Distill complex security problems and drive toward creative solutions
Organize large problem areas and build critical relationships across organizational boundaries
Building with and securing microservice architectures
Executing in an agile environment
Leading with a customer first mentality
Creating, rolling out, and maintaining complex PKI and identity systems within an high-scale infrastructure.
Working with authorization industry standards like SPIRE, Active Directory, Apache KNOX, Kerberos
Building infrastructure that can maintain thousands of QPS with exceptionally low latency in a geographically dispersed environment.
Developing software in the security space for large companies.
Familiarity with PCI, SOC2, SOX, and ISO standards
