Welcome to the smallest, most convenient comedy club at the festival! At this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe, comedy fans will be able to book a free intimate gig with Live at the Apollo and Have I got News for you star, Andrew Maxwell… in the back of a car.
“The Uber Comedy Car gigs will be just like my stand-up, except, of course, I will be sat down,” said Maxwell. “I’m excited to do some performances in one of my favourite cities and hopefully the riders will all be up for having a laugh!”
We’ll be offering gigs with the double Edinburgh award nominee and King of Comedy winner on the 8th, 9th and 10th August through the app.
How it works
The Comedy Car will offer gigs in the city centre with Andrew Maxwell from Wednesday August 8th – Friday August 10th. To get 4 free tickets to the smallest venue in town, all you need is the Uber app and a bit of luck.
- Head to the city centre and open the Uber app between 1-3pm on the 8th and 9th, or 3-5pm on the 10th August
- Select the ‘Comedy Car’ option
- Laugh
If you don’t manage to get a ride in The Comedy Car, Andrew Maxwell’s new stand up show ‘Shake A Leg’ is at the Assembly George Square Theatre at 9.00pm all month.
Tickets for this show are also available via the Edinburgh Fringe website. For more information on Andrew’s 2019 UK tour go to www.andrewmaxwellcomedian.com or via Twitter: @andrewismaxwell
