Before, when riders wanted to make a stop on a journey – to pick something up or drop someone off – they had to update the destination each time. Now, riders can enter multiple destinations at the beginning of their journey, giving you and them a smoother journey.
Here’s how it will work:
- Swipe start trip to begin the journey. If your rider has requested more than one destination, you’ll be able to follow the navigation to the first stop as usual.
- Once you arrive at the first stop, swipe the blue bar to confirm the stop (this will not end the trip).
- Once you’ve confirmed the stop, the app will update and you’ll be able to navigate to the next stop.
- When you reach the rider’s final destination, you’ll be prompted to end the trip by sliding the bar as usual.
The usual time and distance charges still apply and any time spent waiting is charged at the per minute rate, although riders are reminded to keep stops to 3 minutes or less.
This feature does not work on uberPOOL trips, where riders are not able to change their destination.
