Where to cool off in Lyon this summer?
Not far from Lyon city centre, Lake Miribel is the perfect spot to have a picnic and spend an afternoon with family or friends. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen—Lyon is is one of the sunniest cities in France. Please note that access is limited: from 9 am to 9pm Monday to Saturday and from 9 am to 8 pm on Sundays and public holidays.

Lyon is famous for its restaurants and with one on every corner, you won’t have a problem finding them. But finding a good ice-cream can be quite the challenge! Thankfully, you can count on La Fabrique Guvrée. Founded by three friends passionate about gastronomy, their ice-cream has been lauded by leading chefs—which you’ll completely understand once you taste their delicious offerings. If you’re in the area, a pit stop at La Fabrique Givrée is not to be missed!

Whether you’re a vintage lover and you’re on the hunt for that rare piece, or if you’re simply on the lookout for a good bargain, Lyon won’t disappoint. Its flea market “Les Puces du Canal” is the second biggest in France, so you’ll be sure to find a lovely addition for your home. And as its open every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday this summer, you can even go back for more!
