About the Role

Law Enforcement Operations at Uber serves as the engagement point for law enforcement globally - ensuring data privacy, supporting business operations, and promoting city safety.

We are currently searching for a Program Manager who will continue to help us mature our organization by driving continuous improvement, operational efficiency, consistency and maturing our compliance program in respect to internal policy and regulatory requirements.  This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and to work on cutting edge issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Assess compliance of our organization and technology infrastructure against internal policies and procedures and regulatory requirements
  • Identify control gaps, design and assign corrective action plans (CAPs), and monitor them through to remediation/resolution
  • Implement and document user access and security controls in our cloud CRM case management system
  • Drive process improvement including workflow development,  and operating procedures and training in accordance with Uber’s policies and legal/regulatory requirements.
  • Execute our global Quality Assurance (QA) program measuring the effectiveness of our teams against our Global Standard
  • Execute the QA program by designing and communicating appropriate metrics
  • Execute the QA program by supporting our teams in rigorous goal setting, scoring, and tracking of key goals and objectives
  • Work globally with our business teams to triage new feature requests for our CRM system, understanding requirements, and building global consensus on to be implemented features, ensuring they align with our Global Standard
  • Document new feature request requirements as user stories or epics using an agile development methodology
  • Communicate requirements to engineers, balancing technical trade-offs against business requirements, and advocating for the right solution
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing efforts including test script development, documentation of results and obtaining formal sign-off on implementation decisions
  • Document and communicate release notes for newly implemented features


What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of 8 years of industry or consulting experience in product or program management, global operations, or related fields
  • Understanding of data privacy requirements in the US and Europe.
  • Understanding of necessary IT Security and User Access Controls needed in a cloud CRM environment
  • IT Audit and Privacy experience
  • Experience with agile development processes
  • Experience performing compliance assessments/audits, drafting corrective action plans (CAPs) and monitoring CAPs through to successful remediation/resolution
  • Experience working globally including with offshore shared service centers
  • Change management in a large/international company
  • Ability to design processes without a prescribed template
  • Passion for improving user experience with a focus on safety on our communities
  • Investigatory process experience, able to work independently with impeccable judgment.
  • Technical knowledge of data analytics discovery processes including SQL programming and statistical analysis.
  • MBA or Master's degree a plus
  • International experience a plus
