For Breast Cancer Awareness Month we’ve teamed up with the Baheya Hospital for Early Detection and Treatment of Women’s Cancer to help raise awareness and play a role in the fight against breast cancer! Oh, and don’t be surprised if we turn all the cars on the Uber app to pink 😉

Breast cancer is a very sensitive topic for all women and for Egyptian women it can even be a little superstitious. Many women refer to it as “المرض الوحش” or “the evil disease.” It’s considered pessimistic and taboo to think about and address these things and therefore, many women leave the question unanswered.

There is no sure way to prevent breast cancer. But there are things all women can do to help reduce their risk. Let’s all join hands and raise awareness to fight against this curable disease.

Baheya Hospital came into being last March 2015. Baheya is the the first free specialized hospital in treating women’s breast cancer in Egypt. The hospital was inaugurated in the memory of the late Baheya Wahby, wife of Eng. Hussein Ahmed Othman, who passed away from breast cancer.
