We believe riding with Uber should be rewarding in more ways than one, and that’s why we’re excited to announce a first-of-its-kind partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts.

To participate, Uber users who sign up to become new or are existing SPG members simply need to link their accounts at spg.com/uber. After completing a qualifying stay at a Starwood hotel, SPG members can start earning one Starpoint for every $1 spent on Uber, and additional bonus Starpoints can be accumulated during Starwood hotel stays.

On Monday and Tuesday (January 11th & 12th), we will be placing SPG gift baskets in select UberX cars roaming around Cairo.  These gift-boxes will be a surprise…. so be sure to ride a lot during these two days! Additionally, any rider who takes a selfie inside their #Suiteride with the gift-box will get the chance to win 2 free nights for two at a preferred Starwood Hotel in Egypt!

HOW IT WORKS

  1. Visit spg.com/uber to link your accounts.
  2. Log-in to your existing SPG account, or create a new SPG account here. PRO TIP: Use the same e-mail address and last name as your Uber account.
  3. Enter your Uber account information.
  4. Complete a qualifying stay this calendar year at any Starwood hotel.
  5. Begin taking rides and start earning Starpoints!

 

#SUITERIDE DETAILS

  1. Open the Uber app between 12 p.m. and 10 p.m. this Monday and Tuesday (January 11 & 12) and request your pick-up.
  2. If you are lucky to be riding in one of the select cars, your driver will give you a gift-box, compliments of our friends at Starwood Hotels 🙂
  3. Participate in the selfie competition during your ride (details below) for the chance to win.
