About the Role

 

We're looking for a Marketing Data Analyst on our Performance Marketing team to provide data expertise as we connect to foster growth and enhance user engagement. If you have a passion for data, modeling, improving processes, tracking, analytics insights and technology used by marketing to achieve our bold supply and demand growth goals, you are the right profile for this position. You will help address the complex challenges of marketing effectiveness, ROI, optimization strategies, customer behavior and channel effectiveness.

You'll play an important part in finding opportunity fields to help the marketing function scale as we develop acquisition, retention and partnerships arms.

You will offer a deep marketing-driven data perspective while collaborating closely with Marketing, Operations, Strategy and Planning. You will be on the forefront of analysis, leveraging our data sources to propose new ideas and drive key strategic decisions through both offline and online efforts.

 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop frameworks, tools and processes to ensure that analytical insights can be incorporated into key decision making
  • Effectively share insights and analyses to stakeholders to drive business decisions
  • Ensure that we are properly understanding the value of all of our marketing channels – on both drivers and riders for acquisition and engagement
  • Work with cross-functional teams to implement and deploy models and enhance analytical solutions by providing data-driven recommendations
  • Leverage large scale data processing such as Spark, Hive, and Uber’s proprietary machine learning platform, and more
  • Work closely with partners as Google, Facebook, Twitter teams to develop and test new ad formats, targeting and bidding strategies etc
  • Manage strategy, planning and execution of paid media campaigns
  • Work on daily reporting & bid and budget optimization to improve the ROI of your campaigns.
  • Keep up to date with paid media best practices and strategies
  • Mine data and analytics at the customer level to gain a better understanding of their funnel and engagement behaviors, including impacts of current marketing strategies
  • Develop dashboards that provide insights and visualization into channel performance relative to KPIs, projections, and historical performance
  • Implement and analyze A/B or Multivariate Tests to provide in-depth insights to the marketing team on the test data and understanding of marketing drivers’ effects

 

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with Analytical and database experience is expected but we will consider candidates with less experience if they meet our other requirements
  • Marketing analytics or consulting experience is a plus
  • A BS/MS in engineering, computer science, mathematics, economics, statistics, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent skills in analytics tools such as R, Python, SQL, Excel to work efficiently at scale
  • Excellent data visualization skills. Experience creating dashboard reporting in Tableau or a similar visualization tool a plus
  • To balance attention to detail with swift execution
  • Resourcefulness - moving quickly and executing to allow for continual iteration is a core qualification of our team
  • Language skills - English and Portuguese.

Bonus Points

  • Preferred experience in reporting and analyzing campaigns data
  • Experience in dedicated performance marketing media channels (Google, Facebook, display, affiliates)
  • Familiar with CPA, CPC, CPM, ARPU and LTV.
  • Ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines
  • Experience in/around a start-up or mobile culture a plus - i.e. you can adapt to quick changes within both the company and mobile industry
