Licence Renewal History

We require further information to confirm your licence eligibility

Additional information for NSW driver-partners to show licence history requirements are met

Proving Licence History Requirements

NSW Point to Point Transport regulations require that all rideshare drivers hold a current unrestricted Australian driver licence (Class C, LR, MR, HR, HC, MC or equivalent) and have held this licence for at least 12 months of the last 24 months.

There is not enough information on your NSW driving record to indicate that you meet these requirements. You will not be able to drive using the Uber app until you have confirmed to us that you meet these requirements. To do so you will need to provide us with a copy of your Licence Renewal History document from Service NSW.

Roads and Maritime Services (RMS) has notified Uber that your licence has not been continuously active for the past year.

This may occur if your licence:

  • Expired within the last year before you renewed it
  • Was suspended within the last year
  • Is currently expired or suspended

What Is Required

You need to obtain a Licence Renewal History document from Service NSW.

This document allows Service NSW to confirm:

  1. You have held an unrestricted NSW driver licence for at least 12 months in the preceding years (Class C, LR, MR, HR, HC, or MC); and that
  2. Your unrestricted NSW driver licence is currently active

Note: if your licence does not meet these requirements, you should not obtain your Licence Renewal History document.
