The Process

Become authorised for passenger transport Services in NSW

1

Upload your required documents

Sign up online and upload the required documents to your profile.

This includes:

  • Driver's licence (front and back)
  • Passport / birth certificate
  • Vehicle insurance (Comprehensive or Third Party Property)

Provide a NSW Driving Record

You'll need to send us a copy of your NSW driving record. You can get this online at the Roads and Maritime Service (RMS) website or in person at the nearest Service NSW Office. Your NSW Driving Record will need to be less than 30 days old when you upload it to your Uber profile.

At this time, we will also run a Police Background Check against your name.

Apply for a Passenger Transport Licence Code

You will be required to get a Passenger Transport Licence Code (PTLC) in order to become a driver partner with Uber.

If you’re happy for Uber to submit a PTLC application to the RMS on your behalf along with a copy of your driver’s licence, simply complete the online form.
