Ride with Uber Business

Uber Business is a new product that is being trialed in some Uber for Business organisations. As a way to offer more rewards to employees, employees within participating organisations can now earn Qantas Points on Uber Business trips. Here’s what employees of participating organisations need to do:

1. Set up your business profile

  • Open the Uber app and tap the top right corner and navigate to Wallet.
  • Scroll down to Profiles and click Business Profile.
  • You will be prompted to add you work email, corporate credit card and to select your preference for weekly or monthly billing summaries.
  • You can also link your account to Concur, Expensify, Chrome River, or Certify expense management programs, according to your businesses’ preferred software.
  • That’s it! Your Uber Business Profile is set-up.

You can now use your Uber for Business account for all your work trips and switch back to your individual account at any time for your own personal trips. If you do not have an individual Uber account, you can create one here.

2. Link your Uber account to Qantas Frequent Flyer

  • Link your Uber account to Qantas Frequent Flyer by completing the form here 

3. Book ‘Uber Business’ rides for work trips

  • Open your Uber app, switch to your Uber for Business profile and select Uber Business as your ride of choice. 
  • You’ll earn 2000 bonus Qantas Points on your first Uber Business ride, plus you’ll earn 1 Qantas Point per $1 spent on additional Uber Business rides completed.*

Terms & Conditions

  1. You must be a member of the Qantas Frequent Flyer Program (“Member”) to earn and redeem Qantas Points. A joining fee may apply. 
  2. Membership and Qantas Points are subject to the terms and conditions of the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
  3. These terms and conditions exist in addition to the Uber terms and conditions. Uber’s terms and conditions govern all rides or ride requests.
  4. In order to earn Qantas Points, Members must login to the latest version of the Qantas app, set up or link their Qantas Frequent Flyer and Uber accounts, request an Eligible Ride via the Qantas app and complete that ride.
  5. Qantas Frequent Flyer members will earn 2,000 Qantas Points on the first Uber Business product trip taken in the Uber app
  6. Members who request an Uber Business Ride and complete a ride will earn 1 Qantas Point per dollar spent on the final value of the trip.
  7. Only Valid in Melbourne and Sydney
  8. Qantas Points can only be earned on split fares where an eligible ride has been completed and members have already linked their Uber and Frequent Flyer accounts. Each member will earn Qantas Points in accordance with their Frequent Flyer membership tier.
  9. If a member, regardless of whether they requested the Uber or not, has not linked their Uber and Frequent Flyer accounts then they will only earn Qantas Points if their account is linked within 24 hours.
  10. Qantas Points cannot be split between two or more members taking the same eligible ride if only one member pays for the ride. The member who has requested and paid for the ride will earn the points.
  11. Qantas Points may take up to six weeks after your ride to be credited to your Qantas Frequent Flyer account.
  12. Qantas and Uber may change the number of points earned or other eligibility requirements from time to time.
  13. The Uber app is a technology service to help connect riders and independent driver-partners, and neither Uber or Qantas are transport providers for rides requested or taken using the Qantas or Uber app.
  14. This is a pilot program and transportation services requested under Uber Business are provided by driver partners under the Comfort product.
