Brisbane Festival is back this year to delight audiences with a spectacular program of music, theatre, circus, and opera. On from 8-29 September, the high-energy festival brings together a fantastic line-up of international acts and homegrown talent, set to inspire people of all ages and interests.

Uber is excited to team up again with Brisbane Festival to ensure you enjoy every moment of festival action. Enjoy a 5 star Uber experience — from our Heart of the City light show and Uber Pickup Zone to our guide of must-see attractions.

Whether you’re a culture vulture, gig-goer, theatre fan, or thrill-seeker — we’ve got you covered with our Top 5 guide of must-see attractions at BrisFest.

Let’s get rolling!

1. Heart of the City — presented by Uber
Join Uber in lighting up Brisbane with a vibrant light show installation featuring new art by Sofles. Immerse yourself in a luminous visual storytelling experience combining street art, 3D mapping, and motion design.

Heart of the City is a celebration of Brisbane and the locals that continue to brighten our dynamic city.

8-29 September
6:20pm, 8:10pm, 9:20pm
Treasury Brisbane Arcadia

2. #CelebrateBrisbane River of Light
Grab a spot by the water and watch Brisbane River come to life with dynamic jets, massive water spirals, and rainbow-coloured lights and lasers. Inspired by the folklore of the Maiwar dreaming serpent, this visual retelling pays homage to our iconic, snake-shaped river.

8-29 September
6.30pm, 8pm, 9.30pm
Treasury Brisbane Arcadia

3. Séance
Prepare for goosebumps. Séance takes you on a psychological trip that blurs the boundaries between reality and perception using surround-sound audio and sensory deprivation. Definitely not one for the faint hearted!

8-29 September, times vary
South Bank Cultural Forecourt

4. House of Mirrors
Mirror, mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?
It’s you, times a million! This dazzling fun-house uses 15 tonnes of mirrors to create a geometrical, optical illusion that’s sure to play tricks on your eye. A must for selfie enthusiasts!

8-29 September
10am, 6pm
Treasury Brisbane Arcadia

5. Sunsuper Riverfire
Ka-pow! There’s no better way to cap off BrisFest than sparking up the night sky with a thunder of jaw-dropping fireworks. Each year, huge crowds flock to the Brisbane River to catch this colourful light extravaganza, so we suggest hightailing it to Eagle Street Pier, Kangaroo Point Cliffs or Victoria Bridge to grab the best riverside viewing angles.

29 September
Entertainment from 4pm / Fireworks from 7pm
South Bank, Cultural Forecourt
