About the Role

 

We are looking for an Aerial Ridesharing Coordination Center (ARCC) - Associate Manager to support our day-to-day operations in New York, NY at 636 West 28th St.  We seek an experienced operation controller who maintains a safety-first mentality. In this role, you will lead a team on a daily basis to ensure Uber Copter riders have a magical, multimodal experience which is safe, efficient, and on time. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to work with a top-notch Operations team and build the future of urban air mobility from the ground up.

What You’ll Do

  • Support the Uber Copter service through daily operational oversight and analysis
  • Manage operational contingencies during the daily service window through close coordination with our Part 135 partners and heliport personnel
  • Manage scheduling, attendance, and general administration of Uber ARCC Coordinator personnel
  • Train, mentor, and guide Uber ARCC Coordinator personnel to strengthen quality and efficiency metrics
  • Create and implement processes and procedures for the Uber ARCC  
  • Maintain full situational awareness of the network to ensure safe and on-time service delivery to our riders

What You’ll Need

  • At least five years of relevant experience 
  • At least three years of aviation experience 
  • Demonstrated background in solving complex network problems
  • Team leadership experience in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous ground operations, air traffic controller, or aircraft dispatch team management experience

Responsibilities include

  • Responsible for the safe and efficient execution of the daily Uber Copter Service for all riders, from first mile dispatch through last mile drop-off
  • Supervise the ARCC coordinator as s/he executes standard and contingency procedures
  • Coordinate live with Part 135 partners and heliport personnel to ensure magical experiences for Uber Copter riders
  • Work with our internal operations team and Part 135 partners to forecast potential weather issues and ensure riders arrive at their destinations safely and on time
  • Be intimately familiar with all manuals and procedures that support the Copter service
  • Keep all ARCC records and contact information up to date
