If you signed up to drive with Uber and recently had a new license issued, you will need to indicate that you have had a US license for at least one year (three years if you are 21 or 22) to successfully complete your background check.

1. Driver's license

Provide a driver's license with an issue date of one year ago or longer and upload it to Checkr.

2. Driving history record

Obtain your driving history record from the DMV and submit it to Checkr.

If you don't have your previous license

If you don’t have your previous driver’s license, the easiest way to prove driving history in Maryland is to:

  1. Request a "Complete Certified Driving Record" from the MVA. You can find the application here.
  2. Once you receive your Maryland driving record, upload a copy to Checkr.

If you do have your previous license

If you still have your previous driver’s license (or a picture / photocopy), all you need to do is submit a photo of that driver’s license to Checkr.

Click on “Upload Required Documents” to submit your previous driver’s license.
