New Year's Eve

New Year’s Eve is just around the corner. If you plan on getting behind the wheel, read on for details on how you can maximize your time on the road.

This New Year’s Eve, Nashville will be busy all evening as partygoers head to and from celebrations. To take advantage of the most requests across the city, head to these areas.

Main request areas:

  • Downtown - Broadway
  • Midtown
  • Germantown
  • East Nashville

Music City Midnight

Music City Midnight will attract lots of riders to Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park. We expect requests to increase starting around 4pm from suburban areas to the park. The concert ends at 12am, and we expect lots of requests from the park from 12:30am and continuing on after the firework show concludes.

As the official rideshare of Music City Midnight, we’ve worked with Nashville CVC to set up designated pickup areas downtown. If you plan on getting on the road for New Year’s Eve, consider using the designated pickup areas below for the smoothest pickup possible.

  • James Robertson Pkwy from 4th St to 5th St on both sides of the road
  • Rosa Parks from Charlotte to James Robertson Pkwy along the Capitol Hill on the south and east side of the street (along the grassy area of the capitol)
  • Rosa Parks Northbound from 10th Circle N to the Farmers Market driveway (no pickups and dropoffs in the intersection of Harrison St)
  • Jefferson St from Rosa Parks to 7th Ave N on both sides of the road

Plan your night

Before 11pm:

We expect requests to increase starting around 4pm in the suburban areas heading to the core areas (Downtown/Broadway, Midtown, Germantown, East Nashville). To take advantage of these requests, we recommend starting your night off in the Orange Suburban areas so you can catch riders heading to the concert and downtown area.

After 11:30pm:

Shortly after the ball drops, requests will take off. Consider heading to Downtown/Broadway and Germantown (Bicentennial Park) to take advantage of the post-midnight requests and help riders get home safely. We expect requests to continue until around 4am as late-nighters look for safe rides home.
