Fourth of July
Music City puts on a huge celebration every Fourth of July, and this year will be no different. Read on for details on road closures and when and where to drive.
The Let Freedom Sing! Music City July 4th celebration officially kicks off at noon on Tuesday, but the live performances start around 5pm. Expect lots of trips headed downtown (the venue is located at 5th and Broadway) starting around 4pm as riders get a safe ride to the festivities.
Later in the evening the party continues at the Broadway stage, but at Ascend Amphitheater, the Nashville Symphony performs starting around 9pm. The fireworks show kicks off around 9:30pm.
Picking up and dropping off
This year, we have 2 pickup/drop-off (PUDO) zones for your convenience. When picking riders up and dropping them off, please use one of these PUDO zones:
- Korean Veterans Blvd between 4th Ave and 6th Ave (note: this PUDO zone will be inaccessible from 8pm-12am)
- Deaderick St between 3rd Ave and 6th Ave
NOTE: After the fireworks show concludes, the roads heading out of downtown historically become one-way so you can get out of the busy area as quickly as possible. Make sure to get downtown before the show kicks off around 9:30pm, as it will be harder to get downtown once the event starts. If you choose to head back downtown after dropping off your first rider, please be aware that due to these one-ways, getting downtown will be difficult.
The red in this map indicate road closures downtown, while the yellow indicates the roads that are closed during the fireworks show, which will reopen immediately after the show. The blue indicates the pickup/drop-off (PUDO) zone on Korean Veterans Blvd from around 4th Ave to 6th Ave.
