Halloween 2016

No tricks, just trips

Halloween is just around the corner, and demand in Denver is going to be spooky good. This year, we’re excited to bring you our Halloween Guide, full of tricks and tips to help you have a great weekend.

Halloween earnings

One of the biggest nights of the year

  • Halloween is one of the busiest nights of the year—particularly in downtown Denver and college towns—and is also one of the best times to earn with Uber

  • Last year, partners in Colorado made up to $1,300 in gross fares in just one weekend (Friday afternoon - Sunday night) thanks to high demand.

  • You can keep up with increases in surge by setting up surge notifications on your phone. In your partner app, go to Settings > Notifications > Surge Pricing to turn on push notifications.

  • Want to boost your earnings? Check out your Promotions Hub in your Uber Partner App to see if you qualify for an Earnings Boost offer. Tap here to jump to Promotions Hub and keep checking back all week as more offers become available.

Halloween tricks and tips

Verify your trick-or-treaters

Lots of people will be looking to get in an Uber on Halloween - make sure you confirm your rider by asking for their name and then verifying it with the name in the app. If you do pick up the wrong person, let us know and we’ll help sort it out.

No costume left behind

Did someone leave their costume in your car? Snap a picture of any lost items and get in contact with the rider.

Too much candy? We can help.

If a rider makes a mess in your car, simply request a cleaning fee and we’ll help you out. You can also prevent wear and tear on your vehicle by bringing cleaning wipes or putting down mats. You never know what costumes you'll encounter!

Double check your cauldron

Don't forget all of your important documents like your driver's license, registration, and insurance. Remember—you can always access your Medical Check and Vehicle Inspection form in your app by going to Account > Waybill.

Experienced drivers also recommend considering little touches that might come in handy. Hands-free mounts, candy for riders, and even a costume of your own can make your rides as smooth and fun as possible.

Don't be spooked by no-wait trip requests

During times of high demand, you may receive a new trip request before you are finished with your current trip.

No need to worry! Once you've accepted the new trip and finished the one you're on, the app will automatically navigate you to your next rider. This helps cut out downtime between trips so that you can spend more time earning.
