Driving dreams forward
Each quarter, partners can submit one application for sponsorship for a cause that is important to them. Every three months we'll award funding to winning partners to contribute to their cause. See details below for how to apply.
What matters to you?
To work, school, dinner parties, family reunions, and more—every single day our partners keep New England moving. And we want to support the causes that move them forward. Uber's Project Jumpstart supports local initiatives that are closest to our New England partners' hearts and empowers them to spark change in their community.
The application process
Here's how it works
Applications open for submission
Beginning today partners can submit one application for the sponsorship of a cause that is important to them and, if chosen, we'll contribute funding for the project.
Uber will collect and evaluate all sponsorship applications on an ongoing basis with one winner every four months.
Education and arts
Sponsorship for education-related causes and projects that support creative growth in communities.
Health and public safety
Sponsorship for projects that make communities and the people living in them healthier, safer, and cleaner.
Partners and causes we've supported
Adopting from abroad
Doug's Project Jumpstart grant will go to adopting a 10-year-old boy from China through Great Wall China Adoption. Supporting children globally and raising awareness for adoption is a cause close to Doug's heart and Uber is proud to match all donations on their You Caring adoption site, up to $5,000.
Keeping it local
African Television Network of New England
The African Television Network of New England (ATTNE) provides an in-depth source of news and information for the area's growing African community and is the only showcase of African culture, social and political issues consistently available to the larger community. Our sponsorship of $6,000 will provide the network with two camcorders, studio lighting, and other production equipment to help them continue their weekly broadcasts.

Helping service members
New England Center and Home for Veterans
The New England Center and Home for Veterans (NECHV) is a nationally recognized leader in serving Veterans who are facing or at-risk of homelessness. Uber's $4,000 grant will help the Center to provide Veterans experiencing challenges with the tools for economic self-sufficiency and a path to achieve successful and dignified living.
Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester
In recent years, Literacy Volunteers of Greater Worcester created several subject-intensive language ESL courses, important to immigrants and refugees. Students can use their tools to expand their career and economic security focus.
Uber's Jumpstart grant support for $1,000 will contribute to helping us to improve English language skills for people like to reach a brighter economic future.
Housing for everyone
Metropolitan Boston Housing Project
Metropolitan Boston Housing Partnership (MBHP) is a nonprofit dedicated to connecting the residents of Greater Boston with safe, decent homes they can afford. Uber’s $1,000 donation will help to fund resources to provide innovative and personalized services that lead families to housing stability, economic security and an improved quality of life
Boston Women's Rugby Football Club
The Boston Women’s Rugby Football Club promotes teamwork, leadership, discipline, and physical activity both on and off the rugby pitch. Players contribute to the community through philanthropic events each season, from coaching youth rugby to volunteering at local charities. They look forward to expanding our youth initiatives to a new generation of rugby players, and Project Jumpstart's grant will be a vital component to the ongoing operations costs we will face in order to achieve the success they strive for within the club.
