Vehicle requirements in Denmark

Which car is right for you? Make sure it meets Uber car requirements in your city and remember that you’ll make more money if you keep your costs low.

Your vehicle must-haves

  • Must be licensed to carry a minimum of 4 passengers.
  • Must be in good condition with no cosmetic damage.
  • Must meet Euro 6 standards or be an EV/Hybrid for Low Emission Zones.
  • Vehicles must be registered for "Erhvervsmæssig persontransport" (Commercial Passenger Transport).

UberX

Most newer 4-door sedans qualify to drive with UberX, the most popular vehicle option for riders. Vehicles must be able to seat 4 riders, in addition to the driver.

Driver requirements

  • A minimum rating of 4.90

Vehicle requirements

  • Vehicles may not be older than 6 full years old
  • Vehicles must be a licensed taxi
  • Seat at least 4 passengers in addition to the driver
  • Minimum headroom: 900mm
  • Minimum legroom: 915mm
  • Minimum luggage volume: 350L

Uber Black

These new requirements are effective from January 18, 2027.

Charge higher fares in our premium ride option. To access Uber Black, you need to drive with an eligible vehicle, and meet additional requirements, see below.

Driver requirements

  • Hold a commercial passenger transport permit (tilladelse til erhvervsmæssig persontransport) issued by Færdselsstyrelsen, operating under limousinekørsel (not taxikørsel).

Vehicle requirements

  • Vehicles may not be older than 6 full years old
  • Seat at least 4 passengers in addition to the driver
  • 4-door vehicle
  • Good condition with no cosmetic damage
  • No commercial branding
  • Dark Colour: Must be Black, Grey, Blue, Dark Blue, Dark Grey or Brown

  • Maserati: Ghibli, Quattroporte
  • Mercedes-Benz: CLS-Class, E 200, E 220, E 300, E 320, E 400, E-Class, E-Class Wagon, E250, E280, E350e, EQE, EQS, Mercedes-Maybach S-Class, S-Class
  • Porsche: Panamera, Taycan

Uber Black XXL

High-end cars for large groups and luggage.

Driver requirements
