The team manager of a Restaurant Success team is a unique opportunity to help grow a brand new function and team in one of the highest growth parts of Uber Eats.


In this role, you’ll manage a team of individual specialists focused on customer success across the restaurant lifecycle. Restaurant success is a new function within Uber Eats and the manager role demands a unique combination of team management and coaching to goal, optimistic leadership through periods of change (high-growth environment means there’s rarely ‘steady-state’), strategic thinking and nimble problem-solving, strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, and process architecting chops. This is an intense startup-within-a-much-larger-startup role, and beyond your direct team, you’ll work with functions across Eats, including sales, support, operations, product, and engineering, to drive a step-change evolution in the restaurant experience within Uber Eats.

What You’ll Do

  • Inspire and lead a team of Restaurant Success Specialists to provide best-in-class growth and engagement opportunities for our SMB restaurant partners.
  • Help craft the future-state team model for restaurant success teams across US/Can, particularly as it relates to key team management, coaching, and skills development components.
  • Drive the launch and feedback process for pilot products and processes designed to drive restaurant growth and success.
  • Create processes and tools to standardize best-practices within Restaurant Success and the broader Uber Eats organization.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year university and 2-4+ years managing people directly, ideally in a revenue-generating function; start-up experience a plus!
  • Ability to motivate and coach large teams to goal.
  • Optimistic outlook through periods of change.
  • Ability to think strategically in an ROI driven manner, and guide your team to as well.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to take initiative in a constantly-changing work environment and adopt a generalist mindset.
  • Data-driven decision making mentality and sound business judgment through strong analytical thinking.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to identify and provide comprehensive solutions for diverse customer needs at scale.
  • Experience creating and optimizing processes.
  • Startup (all-hands-on-deck) mentality.
  • Passion for the on-demand delivery space, and food delivery in particular.
