Driving at Václav Havel Airport Prague (PRG)

Airports can be complicated places, especially for drivers. But knowing the basics, and getting information in advance about your local airport, can help make sure you’re prepared for your first pickup or dropoff.

Airport regulations

Driving passengers from the airport is easy. But these rides work a little differently. If you want to get an order for a ride from the airport, you have to wait in line in a designated area of the airport grounds.

It works like this:

  • Drive your car to the designated area of the airport.
  • The system will automatically place you in the order queue. Priority is given to those who came before you. When you receive the order, accept it and pick up the passenger from the pick-up point according to the given terminal.
  • The passenger will be prompted to specify the exit in the application, so you know where to pick him up. If there are a lot of people moving around the airport, it is better to call the passenger and make sure that he is at the indicated exit.
  • For each ride from the airport, the passenger is charged a surcharge of CZK 50, which is used to cover your possible costs with entering the pick-up area.

How the waiting list works at the airport

The schedule at the airport is now visible directly in the application, where you can find the number of vehicles in front of you.

If you ride multiple services, the application will show you the order for the service with the shortest waiting list.

Achieve maximum earnings

Our data shows that drivers who regularly return to the city earn more in fares than those who wait in the queue during the day.

If you are at the airport and there are a lot of cars ahead of you in the waiting list, check the information about arrivals via the Prague airport mobile application. You can find more about the airport application on the official website of Václav Havel Airport.
