About the Role

 

  • Conduct data analysis, through the use of data science, for all aspects of flight test operations
  • Apply data analytics to produce actionable results and comply with required procedures and policies
  • The ideal candidate will be expected to provide individual contributions to devise, lead, and execute the data analysis strategy, conduct trade off studies as part of a larger team.

What You'll Do

 

  • Work with multiple stakeholders to define all data that is to be collected from aircraft and own the tables and data pipelines for which will be used to inform product and safety
  • Draw conclusions from data and clearly and concisely articulate key findings in both written and verbal form in order to inform and influence flight operations
  • Produce risk assessments by continuously monitoring data for trending, detecting emerging risks, and assessing effectiveness of safety mitigations
  • Working with data engineers to identify flight test functions to achieve test objectives, and build a safety case as required

 

 

What You'll Need

 

  • Three or more years’ practical experience working within test and development environment
  • Experience gathering, manipulating, interpreting, and analyzing test or telemetry data
  • Have a BS or MS in one of the following fields:  Mathematics, Statistics, Analytics, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with experimentation, basic predictive modeling
  • Skilled in Data visualization and dashboarding
  • Database querying / management - SQL, Java, ETL
  • Experience with at least one scripting languages  like Python or R
  • Raw data mining

About the Team

 

The candidate reports to the Head of Data Science and works closely with a variety of teams within the Elevate ecosystem including: Flight Operations, Operations and Safety, Product, Elevate Cloud Services, and Vehicle Systems teams.
