About the Role
As a platform for entrepreneurship, logistics and mobility operating in 64+ countries, Uber touches the lives of hundreds of millions of people every day. The User Experience Research team connects those people to our business at a number of different levels, from usability to portfolio strategy.
The UXR Social Impact Visiting Fellowship is a unique opportunity to think about Uber’s role in the world: not just how people interact with our product, but how they interact with each other and with the systems that structure our communities. Fellows will conduct secondary & primary research to provide analysis and perspective on a topic of their choosing and gain experience connecting broader societal themes to business practices.
This is a 16 week program based in San Francisco that begins in mid January and ends in early May.
Submit a CV and project proposal (2 page maximum, including brief bibliography) presenting a topic relevant to Uber’s role in the world that you’re interested in exploring. Topics and project plans will be finalized after the fellowship begins, but make sure you provide sufficient detail for us to understand how you would approach this topic in particular, not just a generic research plan. As part of the interview process, shortlisted candidates will also give a 30 minute presentation on their experience and proposal. Deadline for applications is December 14th.
