About the team
The mission of the Global Scaled Solutions (GSS) team is to transform Uber’s best ideas into agile, global solutions. In India, the team is spread out between Hyderabad and Bangalore. Tech ops is a fairly nascent capability within GSS, where we work with multiple engineering/product teams to deliver to their triage, testing, API integration and vendor engineering requirements. We drive end to end strategy and manage scaled programs for various teams within the Tech organization.
About the role
As part of the GSS TechOps Vertical, you will program manage multiple cross-functional projects/programs across product development, technology or operational programs. You will drive strategy, establish workflows, scale resources including selecting and onboarding the right vendor partner and deliver against the roadmap established with cross functional stakeholders such a Product and Engineering. . You will own the end to end program strategy, execution and delivery. This role will be based in Bangalore.
What you'll do:
Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish strategy, estimate capacity, build roadmaps and track progress against target for all your programs.
Develop deep understanding of the tech stack and support needs of various engineering and product partners
Manage MSP/IT services relationships to hire vendor tech resources, ensure deliverables and SLAs are met, taking corrective action when they are not, while maintaining focus on cost and quality
Drive innovation and establish processes that deliver continuous improvement across all operational activities.
Establish best practices across similar work streams such that they are reusable
Identify tool/process opportunities and influence development teams to deliver enhanced functionality
Establish measurement metrics and methods for tracking work productivity, utilization, and quality
Communicate strategy and progress with senior management and cross-functional teams
Plan, monitor and track project budget and financial metrics
What you'll need:
Minimum of 6+ years experience as a program / engineering/ project manager driving tech initiatives across functions and locations. Experienced in working with global teams
Degree in engineering or sciences
Proven experience of working with a range of stakeholders to deliver results which balance business and technical perspectives
Ability to manage risks and mitigate these across the program
Good understanding of SDLC,STLC, agile development or product management methodologies
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Results oriented. Detail oriented. Driven. Take initiative without being asked. Creative. Team player.
Ability to work in a fast paced environment, with a strong bias for action

Have led or been part of tech teams, either on development or testing
