About the Role



The Uber Advanced Technology Group; a high-performance culture marked by rapid-growth and high-productivity. We focus on the development of key long-term technologies that advance Uber's mission of bringing safe, reliable transportation to everyone, everywhere.


Uber Advanced Technologies Group is developing next generation mapping, vehicle safety, and autonomy technologies. As part of this effort, we're building a small group of uniquely talented and thoughtful designers to define the next generation platform and tooling that supports a variety of ambitious initiatives.


As a Brand Design Lead for ATG you'll be a part of a team of designers crafting platforms and tooling that are responsible for bringing our autonomous technologies to market. The platform products you design will help our autonomy development, and management of self driving fleet. You'll be collaborating with cross functional partners to help research, brainstorm, and deliver the product experience for some of our most critical simulation products. You will lead initiatives to bring a differentiated rider experience to life, and shape the way the experience comes to life across touchpoints through a full range of brand design skills including, visual design, animation, experiential design, and print.

What You’ll Need
  • At least 6 years working as a designer in a creative agency or comparable in-house agency with a portfolio showcasing relevant experience designing for brand systems and branded executions (web, print, product, visual systems)
  • Amazing attention to detail. You know when something needs to be one pixel to the left or a shade darker, and you follow through to make it right. You are a pixel perfectionist and the slightest misalignment catches your eye immediately. You have a keen eye for iconography, typography, color, space.
  • You are as committed to crafting great designs as you are to brainstorming frameworks and branding extensions.
  • Deliver high quality brand expressions. You obsess over brand and know how to evolve a brand through design
  • A highly collaborative working style
  • You work through multiple rounds efficiently. And you think all the way through the experience, developing a solid foundation, tinkering, collecting feedback, and refining
  • Define, identify and prioritize the different touchpoints for the brand across internal systems
  • Ability to travel 25% of time
