About the Role

We are currently searching for a Labor/Litigation Associate for Central America (Cenam) & Caribbean Region (Costa Rica, Guatemala, El Salvador, Panama, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic) with expertise in labor and litigation matters to join the Uber Legal Team as we continue to scale our business globally. You will report to Uber's Legal Director for Cenam & Caribbean and will be based in Costa Rica.

What You'll Do


  • Collaborate closely with the Cenam & Caribbean teams on labor, litigation, consumer protection and other business issues impacting the Uber entities in the Cenam and Caribbean regions
  • Regularly collaborate with internal business groups on rolling out Uber's business in the region
  • Research, review, and analyze legal risks for Uber and its subsidiaries in the Cenam and Caribbean region according to the laws in each city where we have operations


What You'll Need


  • Law Degree
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a lawyer of a law firm or multinational company but we will consider other candidates if they meet the rest of the requirements
  • Professional proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Experience with labor and litigation matters in Central America and The Caribbean
  • Business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills
