About the Role
As Product Manager for Uber’s Payments Platform, you will envision and execute on a vision and strategy to scalably enable hundreds of payment providers, financial services partners and lines of business (including Ridesharing, Eats and Freight) to leverage the Uber Payments ecosystem. You will build a global financial ecosystem with connections to dozens of payment partners and banks across the world.

Internalize and deeply understand Uber’s mission and strategies.
Shape and own objectives, KPIs and roadmap for Uber’s payments platform.
Build a truly scalable ecosystem that unlocks company-wide innovation.
Lead and inspire a high-performing cross-functional team across Product, Engineering, Data, Business Development and Operations.
Be incredibly truth-seeking and finger-tippy with data. Set a high bar for the team to think boldly and creatively. Funnel that energy into concrete products and execution plans. Move fast, be biased toward action.
What You’ll Need
5+ years experience delivering highly successful and innovative consumer Internet or financial products with your fingerprints all over them - you’re extremely proud of what you’ve accomplished.
A computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably including hands-on software engineering experience. Technical understanding must go from the highest abstractions down to the metal.
Deep expertise in payments / financial services product management.
A “driver” personality - constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration.
Grittiness. You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away.
User-centricity - examples from your past of product challenges that you powered through because you were unwilling to make your problems your users’ problems.
A high bar across the board - from your own contributions to the people you work with to the products you work on.
Passion for Uber’s mission and the company’s hybrid technology / operations nature.
A never-ending desire to grow and learn.

Payments at Uber is a strategic differentiator and one of the most fundamental pieces of the Uber experience. From taking a trip to ordering a meal to making driving the most flexible source of earnings for driver partners, payments plays a central role. We are building and scaling a hyper efficient payments infrastructure at an unprecedented rate. Our payments platform supports the needs of our customers across Rider, Driver, Eats, Freight and other emerging business lines.
