About the Role
We’re building a Law Enforcement Outreach team in India with regional leads based in Mumbai. As an Outreach lead you will be responsible for
Managing Uber’s relationship with local law enforcement.
Developing practical solutions for law enforcement engagement and communication.
Working with law enforcement in response to incidents and protests.
What You’ll Do
Liaise with local law enforcement promoting partnership working.
Train law enforcement teams on how Uber supports investigations in a legal and ethical manner.
Ensure driver and rider safety by responding to incidents and supporting police investigations.
Review incident reports and determine appropriate risk mitigation steps.
Produce accurate, concise, objective and timely incident updates and reports.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan effective responses to demonstrations and protests.
Lead city based contractor consultants managing their engagement efforts with Law Enforcement
What You’ll Need
10+ years of experience within Law Enforcement background preferred.
You will work well under pressure and have excellent communication skills.
Comfortably interact with Law Enforcement from investigators up to strategic leadership.
Experience in communicating findings orally and in written products.
Capability and confidence to make recommendations on vulnerabilities.
Ability to take the initiative in exploring technical topics developing subject matter expertise.
A solid understanding of issues currently impacting on the Indian security environment.
Travel within country as needed - Approx 50% of your time, up to 5 days at a time is likely. Must be flexible and able to work non-traditional hours at short notice.
About the Team
This role is part of the Global Law Enforcement Operations team and you will serve as its Law Enforcement Outreach Manager for India. Law Enforcement Outreach team, focuses on developing and maintaining strategic relationships with law enforcement authorities and related government agencies
