The Platform Experience Studio


The Platform Experience Design Studio works directly with our cross-functional peers to build the technologies that enable Uber and our partners to understand, plan, execute and build the business at scale. We are looking for product designers to help envision, architect and execute on next-generation experiences for this broad and diverse area including...


Data & Developer – We drive intelligence and actionable insights for the business through BI, analytics, machine learning, and rich data experiences. We strive for enhancing engineering productivity, reliability, and performance through a suite of developer experience products including code review, continuous integration and deployment, simulation, configuration, and experimentation. And finally, we innovate mapping technologies that allow us to represent the physical world through software.


Planning & Control – Uber needs to understand the business at scale and adjust our market investment strategies and execution. We design the competitive intelligence, fintech, adtech, risk, fraud, and health applications and platforms that allow us to forecast, monitor, manage, and optimize the performance of our strategic contributions.


Growth and Engagement – We enable Uber’s marketing, operations, and recruiting teams to say and do the right thing, for the right person, at the right time, through the right channel — leveraging a variety of tools and platforms including CRM, identity, workflow automation, campaign management, authoring tools, CMS, customer support, and employee engagement.

You teach the soft and hard skills. You have 3+ years of experience managing designers become the collaborative glue that inspires product management and engineering while also developing their core competencies at envisioning what could be.


You know how to set the bar high. Uber ships fast. You know what quality looks like and how to help product teams ship at that quality with minimal impact on velocity.


You hire excellent people. You're able to create the systems for you (and others) to effectively evaluate and hire designers and researchers who can take Uber to new levels of excellence.


You increase the effectiveness of the entire team. You improve the entire design and product teams, not just your direct reports. As a leader and example-setter you should be more effective when you're not even in the room. Your processes will be celebrated, emulated and copied by teams throughout the organization.
