About the Role
Uber’s DMP team is seeking a seasoned technical analyst familiar with stored data and segmentation platforms (DMPs, CDPs, Data Lakes, etc.). You’ll have high level proficiency in SQL / R, and understand how to securely migrate data between internal and external platforms. You understand the nuances of MAD-Tech platforms + want to help build out these capabilities brand side.
The ideal person for this role has hands-on technical expertise in DMPs. A former solutions / data engineer currently at a DMP would fit this role to a tee.
Bonus points if you already have a deep understanding of the digital media ecosystem, and an analytical eye for measurement and incrementality.
What You'll Do
Facilitate onboarding of data into DMP
Develop and maintain technical project spec sheets
Implement and maintain quality control measures both internally and with our partner
Establish best practices and frameworks for successful data dumps into DMP
Establish process for pulling data out of DMP
Translate complicated models and algorithms for non-data-savvy stakeholders and tell compelling, concise stories with data
Provide insights and actionable recommendations based on deep analysis and alignment with business goals
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or Engineering
Experience with advanced capabilities of one or more DMPs (Audience Manager, Blue Kai, Turn, Krux, etc.)
Experience with digital campaign operations (Media Tagging, DCO, etc.)
Experience with digital integrations across multiple technology vendors
High proficiency in SQL or a scripting language such as R or Python
+2 years relevant experience as solutions engineer (or similar role)
Experience working with large / diverse data sets
Experience telling stories with data to both technical and non-technical audiences and creating clear and compelling visualizations to convey complex data
Nice to Have
Experience in product strategy and development
Strong coding skills (e.g., R, Python)
Strong statistics, economics, engineering, or mathematics background
