About the Role
We’re a game-changing company offering our users global access to quality on-demand transportation and logistics services with a touch of their smartphone. We are currently searching for an Associated Counsel in our Enterprise Product group to work with our Uber Freight business, with specific expertise in supporting a growing and fast-moving enterprise sales organization, as well as relevant experience supporting product development issues, negotiating and drafting commercial transactions, and otherwise supporting the legal needs of enterprise business units on a day-to-day basis. We are also open to candidates who may not have this specific experience, but who have an excellent legal background and experience in working on complex transactions. What You’ll Do
Work with the Uber Freight team on negotiating and drafting commercial agreements (including shipper/customer agreements and vendor agreements), work with Uber Freight’s product teams on the development of new products, analyze regulatory, marketing and communications matters, and work on a related range of legal issues for the Uber Freight business
Work closely with Uber Freight’s key legal, business, product and operations team members, as well as your legal colleagues in the Enterprise Product group and across Uber
Continually review and analyze legal risks for Uber nationally and internationally
What You’ll Need
A minimum of 2+ years combined in-house and/or law firm experience at mid to large size law firm
Experience working with internal or external clients to negotiate, draft and finalize commercial agreements
Experience with working with fast growing businesses on a range of legal issues and outstanding analytical and communication skills
Strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school
California Bar Admission Preferred
Interest in expanding scope of your practice to other areas of law as part of a growing legal team
