As a Data Analyst II, you will collaborate with other analysts and stakeholders to generate business impacting, standardized, agile, reporting methods, tools and insights. You will constantly seek automation, improvement opportunities and ensure the quality of the team deliveries by reinforcing standard practices and performing recurrent audits.

For this role you should have excellent analytical skills, excellent time-management and organizational habits, and the ability to clearly communicate and present information for stakeholders at all levels of the business.

What you'll do

  • Gather, understand and document detailed business requirements using appropriate tools and techniques
  • Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
  • Provide ongoing reports and insights for different stakeholders
  • Produce and track key performance indicators
  • Manipulate, analyse and interpret complex data sets, identify and interpret trends or patterns on data
  • Monitor and audit data quality
  • Identify areas to increase efficiency
  • Automation of processes for data analytics
  • Provide rapid, data-driven insights and actionable recommendations to support business decision
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members and mentor staff to promote staff development
  • Participate in high level project meetings

 What you'll need

  • Bachelors degree in computer engineering, information technology administration, industrial engeneering or similar
  • 1+ years of working experience as data analyst or business intelligence developer; or equivalent experience working with large amounts of data
  • Knowledge of programming languages to automate processes (e.g. Python, Visual Basic)
  • Strong knowledge and experience with SQL (Presto, Vertica, Hive, etc)
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyse and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. You will need to see through the data and analyze it to find conclusions
  • Critical thinking to analyze numbers, trends, and data be able to come to new conclusions based on the findings
  • Solid communication skills, ability to present findings, or translate the data into an understandable document
  • English written and spoken at high intermediate level (80-90%) is required

 Bonus points if

  • 1+ years in any statistical analysis language (e.g. R, SAS, MATLAB)
  • 1+ years in Python
