Uber seeks a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Global Law Enforcement Operations team and serve as its Law Enforcement Outreach Manager - India.  The position will be responsible for building and managing the Law Enforcement Outreach team, which will focus on developing and maintaining strategic relationships with law enforcement authorities and related government agencies.  The position will also oversee response to events related to the law enforcement throughout India. This is a great opportunity to join a growing team and to work on novel issues in an exciting, fast-paced environment. What You’ll Do

  • Manage and lead the regional team to develop and maintain effective working relationships with law enforcement and related government authorities
  • Work closely with the legal and public policy teams on engagement with law enforcement authorities, regulators and legislators on law enforcement issues
  • Design and execute regional strategic law enforcement outreach plan
  • Plan and execute educational programs for law enforcement authorities on Uber’s policies for protecting user privacy and responding to legal requests
  • Coordinate with internal investigation teams to develop and refer relevant matters to law enforcement authorities
  • Work closely with the legal team and the Law Enforcement Response Teams in responding to governmental requests for data
  • Support the rollout of safety initiatives with regional law enforcement
  • Respond to and support emergency matters

What You’ll Need

  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years of experience working with law enforcement authorities, ideally at an international level
  • Senior law enforcement or prosecution experience for criminal investigations/prosecutions
  • Experience with using digital evidence to support cyber crime and online investigations
  • Experience with regional legal requests related to criminal inquieries (e.g., Cr.P.C. Section 91 Requests)
  • Presentation experience
  • Fluency in additional language(s) and/or regional dialects
  • Experience in a fast paced, start-up culture
