Uber is seeking a skilled Content Manager, with a passion for bringing customer and business strategies to life, and a dedication to producing high-quality web content and experiences across uber.com. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading all evergreen site content in alignment with our product and marketing strategy teams. In addition, you’ll be responsible for global rollout and localization strategies for web content.

 

You’ll manage global content workflows and be responsible for reporting project status and communicating design/development needs and dependencies to the program management team.

 

Overall, a strong voice in web content strategy, web user experience, and publishing processes is at the core of everything you’ll do in this role. You'll bring quality content to life across uber.com and manage content adherence across our global regions.

 

 

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Manage the strategy and development for new content on uber.com
  • Collaborate with product and regional teams provide web channel expertise for all site content needs.
  • Oversee regional content localization and launch playbooks.
  • Work cross-functionally to gather content requirements for both business-critical and marketing needs, prioritizing web builds and migrations based on business impact.
  • Empower and enable local marketing teams to achieve their business goals in alignment with our core HQ strategy.

 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • 5+ years of experience leading content strategy on large e-commerce / digital websites
  • Background in managing content at scale — the Web team supports a global business and we must plan and execute our content strategy accordingly. You must be willing to dig into international use cases, work cross-functionally, and stand up process where there is none.
  • Outstanding project management and written communication skills are essential — ability to build strong relationships and motivate people across a wide variety of job functions
  • Passion for developing sound content strategy, determining message hierarchies, and developing user experiences that elevate Uber’s brand and strategic pillars
  • A keen eye for measurement, helping to provide summarized reports on the state of web properties and key strategic insights
  • Experience in using and publishing CMS systems, and knowledge of SEO.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to make reasoned decisions with imperfect or ambiguous information.
