About the Role


The Product Manager for Growth Insights Platform will work with engineering and design teams to build out a platform of customer insights which can be shared across the company and built into other internal products.

The PM will have two main focus areas: The first is to build out a recommendation engine for Uber for proactive engagement with customers, both for marketing and assistance. This would include using machine learning to determine insights in sequential events that may highlight opportunities to assist Uber customers with personalized recommendations. The second area focuses on aggregate funnel health insights, using data across the platform to alert product teams with issues they may be facing proactively.

What You’ll Do


  • Align and motivate a cross-functional team on a product-level mission and roadmap that maps to the Products team mission
  • Lead setting OKRs across your products and in alignment with business leadership, product, and other cross-functional stakeholders
  • Generate ideas for growth and strengthening the performance of our programs through product, marketing, and business levers
  • Heavily utilize data insights, market and customer research, and your product intuition to continually improve your products
  • Identify opportunities for new products that leverage Uber's global scale and payments infrastructure to provide unique and lasting customer value
  • Clearly communicate plans, insights, data and results to a spectrum of audiences including executives, product teams, and other decision-makers across Uber


What You’ll Need


  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Product Management, delivering innovative products and solutions as a lead or sole product contributor
  • Experience in building machine learning based products
  • Experience with building products with rich UI needs.
  • A track record and passion for taking great products to the next level, building and iterating to growth, engagement, and business impact
  • Deep experience working with data, research, and growth marketing
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical team members up to and including the executive-level
  • True passion for Uber's mission and emerging markets (LatAM, Middle East, Africa)
  • Computer science undergraduate degree or equivalent. Technical understanding that spans all levels of abstraction and the systems you'll be building.
  • Experience building and leading businesses, including ownership and optimization of business performance metrics
  • Design sensibility. A deep understanding of and appreciation for good design and user experience
  • Customer obsession. The ability to take on complex product challenges and find elegant customer focused solutions.
  • Knowledge of statistical methodology
