We are currently searching for a regional counsel to deal with the day to day commercial and regulatory issues arising in our business in Central & Eastern Europe. You will report directly to the Legal Director for Northern & Eastern Europe and will be based at Uber’s international headquarters in Amsterdam. However, you’ll also be expected to travel across the CEE region where needed.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Be the primary point of contact for legal advice in the region.
Lead on legal work in regulatory matters and dispute management
Provide legal advice on commercial contracts, promotional agreements, sponsorships, partnerships as well as general marketing and advertising initiatives across the CEE region.
Work collaboratively with other teams including policy and communications to provide strategic advice.
Be an active partner, and ensure the provision of timely business-focused advice, to a variety of business areas including product development and Uber EATS.
Provide strategic and proactive legal advice to internal business groups. It’s our job to peer round corners for the business and ensure that we are well positioned for the future.
Effectively and efficiently manage outside counsel to achieve business objectives.
Understand, interpret and apply current regulations as applicable to Uber’s business models in the region and your areas of responsibility.

WHAT YOU NEED
At least 3 years post-qualification experience at a top-notch law firm or in-house
Polish, Czech or Ukranian qualified lawyer
Strong academic credentials and law degree from a top law school or university
Excellent business judgment, communication and interpersonal skills
To be able to think on your feet and make quick decisions
Thrive in high impact/high profile situations
Fluent in written and spoken English. Any other relevant languages are an advantage too.
