About the Role
As a PM on the Marketplace Experimentation team (MX), you will partner with a team of enormously talented engineers, data scientists, and designers to build the technology that powers experimentation at Uber scale and unlocks game-changing insights. You will also be directly involved in Uber’s biggest experiments – from innovations in pricing and dispatch to entirely new products like Express Pool and the recent driver app overhaul!
In this role, you will own the application and algorithms relied upon by teams across Uber to understand how they are impacting riders and drivers across the globe, as well as Uber’s most critical business metrics. This includes the technology used to create experiments, monitor and manage them throughout their lifecycle, and measure and communicate the results.
You will be defining and driving a roadmap that breathes life into cutting-edge experimentation and measurement techniques, crafting the language with which Uber talks about the success and failure of initiatives across the company.
What You’ll Do
Develop a vision for experimentation at Uber in line with Uber’s mission and strategy.
Drive the cross-functional team in setting and achieving qualitative objectives and quantitative goals.
Collaborate across Uber to deeply understand measurement and experimentation use cases.
Be a leader in the conversation about the importance of proper measurement and data-driven decision making.
Clearly communicate plans, insights, and results to executives, product teams, and cross-functional partners.
Lead the development of the web application for creating, managing, and analyzing experiments.
Envision rich segmentation paradigms and ways for users to evaluate their products through those lenses.
What You’ll Need
Passion for experimentation and an eagerness to evangelize its value.
Entrepreneurial spirit with a thirst for learning and a data-driven mindset.
Experience formulating an inspiring product vision and driving the narrative around that vision.
Exceptional communication skills, both within your team and with leadership and stakeholders.
Strong customer empathy, with the ability to transform complex customer insights into a prioritized roadmap.
Experience partnering with cross-functional teams of engineers, data scientists, and designers to deliver extraordinary products.
A knack for simplifying the complicated and conveying large amounts of data in intuitive and compelling ways.
3 or more years of product management experience
Bonus points if

You understand the strengths and weaknesses of different experiment designs
