How to get a Class 4C Driver's Licence

1. Pass a medical exam

Visit your family doctor or your nearest clinic to complete a medical assessment. You’ll need to bring this medical form and have it filled out and signed by your physician.

Book an appointment or visit your nearest walk-in clinic (with or without an appointment) to get started.

2. Pass a vision test

The second step is to visit your nearest SAAQ to complete your vision test and hand in your completed medical report.

3. Take knowledge test

After you have completed your medical exam and your vision test, schedule an appointment (online or by phone) to complete a driving knowledge test.

Once you've successfully passed the knowledge test, you will be provided with a written confirmation of your Class 4C Driver's Licence.

Upload documents on your online profile

Your Class 4C Driver's Licence will be mailed to you. While you're waiting to receive it, you can upload a photo of the 'Letter of Confirmation' document with your current driver's license (both documents in the same photo) using your Uber Driver app or online.

Once you receive your Class 4C Driver's Licence in the mail, please upload it to your profile.
