Background screening

After signing up, you'll need to complete a background screening.

To get this process started, you'll need to obtain your standard 3-year driver abstract from any Alberta registry. Please visit the Alberta website. You can also find your nearest Alberta registry location here. Once you have your abstract, you'll need to upload it to the Uber app. Please note that all driver abstracts must have been obtained within 30 days to move forward with signing up.

You will also need to complete your Vulnerable Sector Check document as part of background screening. You can visit the Calgary police station, or your local police station if you reside outside Calgary. You can also complete it online using the ePIC portal - a step-by-step video for using ePIC can be found here.
