• After selecting the trip, scroll down to the “Insurance claim” section. You’ll be directed to the insurance company’s website, where you can follow the instructions.

Additionally, we suggest that you share the trip with the recipient so that they can also follow the route in real time and be prepared to receive your shipment.

We recommend that you notify the recipient of the delivery so they can meet the delivery partner to retrieve the item from the vehicle. If you do send someone an item as a surprise, you’ll need to clearly instruct the delivery partner, in the message section of the Uber app, to leave the item at the recipient’s door. The delivery partner can always decline this request.

Depending on the instructions provided by the sender when requesting a delivery, the recipient should be available to meet the delivery partner at the door or curb, or pick up the package at the lobby.

• If the person receiving the item wasn’t available, the delivery partner may try to contact you in the app to resolve the issue or coordinate a return. You’ll be responsible for the costs associated with returning the item to you if necessary.
• For help coordinating a delivery in case of terminated trips or canceled requests, if you haven’t yet received your item, or if the item was damaged during delivery, contact Uber Support.
